Reporting to the Head Coach and/or Assistant Head Coach, the incumbent will be responsible for managing and supervising athletes ensuring their development and continuing the tradition of excellence and enthusiasm that has characterized our Club for decades.The jobholder’s main responsibilities are as follows:• Setting up training programs and planning the season; • Training and preparing athletes for competitions; • Working in collaboration with the Head Coach or Assistant Head Coach; • Teaching proper swimming techniques; • Attending monthly meetings; • Performing video analyses and providing technical advice; • Performing any other related tasks.

A large number or world record holders and Olympic medallists got their start in the City of Pointe-Claire. More than 400 swimmers take part in our program.
Requirements Junior Coach• High school diploma in progress;• Level 1 NCCP (or to be completed within the first year of hiring date);• 1 year experience as coach in a competitive summer swim team and/or a competitive Québec Swimming Federation team or its equivalent;Requirements Intermediate Coach• High school diploma completed;• Level 2 NCCP (or to be completed within the first 6 months of hiring date);• 2 years full time experience or 4 years part time experience as a coach of a competitive Québec Swimming Federation team or its equivalent;Requirements Senior Coach• High school diploma completed;• Level 3 NCCP (or to be completed within the first 6 months of hiring date);• 4 years full time experience or 6 years part time experience as a coach of a competitive Québec Swimming Federation team or its equivalent;The incumbent must be bilingual (French and English) and must have a National Lifeguard Certificate (or to be obtained in the first six months of hiring date). In addition, following competencies are essential:• Interpersonal communication skills;• Ability to work in a team setting;• Organizational skills.
